2021 CRF/CHAR Research Awards
In response to an open call for applications in Fall 2020, the Canadian Radiological Foundation (CRF) and the Canadian Heads of Academic Radiology (CHAR) are pleased to award funding to two research projects related to COVID-19:

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Canadian Radiology – Featuring Women in Radiology

The evidence is increasingly clear that a diverse physician population that reflects the diversity of the general population can contribute to the provision of high-quality care to patients. There is a paucity of data in Canada in regards to racial diversity in radiology. We do know that women are underrepresented in radiology practices, despite an overrepresentation of women in Canadian medical schools. Canadian Society of Thoracic Radiology and the Canadian Association of Radiologists’ Statement on COVID -19
A normal chest CT scan cannot exclude the diagnosis of COVID-19 especially for patients with recent onset of symptoms.
