General Radiologist: Full-Time and Locum
Quinte Health is seeking two well-diversified full-time/permanent general radiologists as well as a locum to join the Department of Diagnostic Imaging (DI) and its team of 13 radiologists.
Core services include general radiography, ultrasound, CT, MRI and basic interventional radiology. Breast imaging is also provided as a service and would be open to candidates with appropriate training and experience. Ability to perform non-vascular interventional procedures such as percutaneous abscess drainage would be an asset. Fellowship training would also be an asset.
Rotating coverage includes off-site home reporting. The primary location is Belleville General Hospital, which lies between the beautiful Counties of Hastings and the vineyard region of Prince Edward County. On-site presence is also provided at Trenton Memorial Hospital.
All candidates must be RCPSC certified and fully licensed.
Quinte Health has 1,800 staff members and 380 medical staff who provide a wide range of high- quality health care services to a region of 160,000 residents. Care is provided through four hospitals – Belleville General, North Hastings, Prince Edward County Memorial and Trenton Memorial Hospitals – and includes four emergency departments, operating rooms at three sites, inpatient services (including acute medicine, intensive care, obstetrics, pediatrics, mental health, complex continuing care, rehabilitation and surgery), a rehabilitation day hospital, children’s treatment centre, ambulatory care clinics, community mental health programs, an oncology centre and a range of diagnostic services. An upgraded 1.5T MRI scanner is present at the Belleville site as well as 3 CT scanners in the Belleville, Trenton and North Hastings (anticipated January 2024) sites. Radiography and ultrasound are provided at all 4 sites.
