On April 28, 2023, the Canadian Radiological Foundation (CRF) met in Montreal during the CAR Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) at Le Westin. During the course of the Board meeting, the CRF welcomed their newest Board members, Drs. Narinder Paul (Chair, Canadian Heads of Academic Radiology) and Kiana Lebel (Past CAR Resident and Fellow Section Chair). The focus of the meeting was very much aimed at the future strategic direction for the foundation and fundraising.
Fundraising and Awards
There were a number of highlights over the course of the ASM and the CRF was fortunate enough to garner $16,650 in donations from registration and onsite pledges, thanks to the generous support of donors. The CAR/CRF Awards Ceremony was a tremendous success and this year a new bar was set for future celebrations. New to the CRF
The CRF is grateful to the radiology community for their financial support in terms of donations. There is still more on the horizon as the CRF tries to find new and innovative ways to promote radiology research. In the coming months, the CRF will partner with the CARJ to support the development of a series of 6 journal-based podcasts. Stay tuned for more information on this.
