The CAR Day on the Hill was a success! On April 30, CAR executives gathered in Ottawa to meet with members of parliament to discuss the upcoming election and to ask for their support for advancements in medical imaging in Canada. The main focus of the meetings included: a national medical imaging equipment fund, leadership in AI and the Canadian Task Force on Preventive Healthcare Guidelines on breast screening. The day included the CAR Executive Board members. Given the upcoming election, we opted to focus on quality over quantity. The Executive met with 11 MPs from various parties. From this, we were able to garner support for our national medical imaging equipment fund, breast imaging guidelines and initiate a conversation regarding AI and Clinical Decision Support within the house of commons. We look forward to seeing these priorities in the upcoming election. Click here for photos from the event.
