The CAR is the voice of radiologists in Canada. Our mission is to amplify your voice. The CAR is uniquely positioned to help make international connections for our members. We are a founding member and award-winning chapter of the American College of Radiology, have the largest Canadian radiologist meeting outside of Canada at the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), a reciprocal relationship with the Société Française du Radiologists as well as the European Congress of Radiology (ECR).
So what?
We would not have these relationships or attend the meetings if it did not enhance or make our members more successful. With over 25,000 attendees, the ECR is the largest radiology meeting in the world outside of the RSNA. The number of Canadians attending, presenting and collaborating at this world-class meeting is growing.
The CAR’s recent work has resulted in the ECR presents Canada where the best of Canadian radiology will be showcased at the ECR in 2020. There is a lot of interest in Europe and the rest of the world in not only high calibre research that Canadian radiologists turn out, but also in the way radiology is delivered in Canada. People want to learn and collaborate with CAR members. And we believe that CAR members can learn from the rest of the world as well.
Now what?
In the next few weeks, the CAR will announce a contest for members to enter a chance to present their best research at ECR 2020. We have also been working with the Canadian Embassy in Vienna to showcase the best of Canada at the meeting. The icing on this Canadian cake will be the reception for CAR members and key influencers at the ambassador’s official residence in Vienna. Stay tuned.
