The current CAR strategic plan clearly outlines goals and objectives for 2018-2022. It is centered around a framework that supports the Association’s vision of being the national voice for imaging excellence in patient care. We have achieved many of our initiatives and it is now time to plan for our future! Key objectives of the CAR strategic plan:
- Achieve a vision which reflects the membership;
- Ensure the Association is offering optimal value to its members; and,
- Raise the visibility of radiologists and illustrate the value that they offer to patients and Canadian healthcare.
With robust membership growth, strong assets (Annual Scientific Meeting, CAR Journal, RAD Academy), excellent operational practices, and a highly engaged board, the CAR is well-positioned for more balanced growth and long-term sustainability. While the CAR has a wealth of available opportunities, strategic suitability must be aligned with the challenging environment for radiologists and the broader strategic aspirations for the organization.
