Registration for workshops at the CAR 2019 annual scientific meeting is open. This year we’re offering two hands-on interactive workshops: CT Colonography and Prostate MRI. CAR 2019 is the premier Canadian radiology event of the year, renowned for its scientific and educational content, and for networking with colleagues from across the country. The conference runs through April 11 – 14, 2019, at Le Centre Sheraton, in Montreal.
CT Colonography Workshop
Thursday, April 11, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Facilitator: Dr. Tanya Chawla, University of Toronto
This one-day workshop with dedicated hands-on training and small group didactic lectures gives attendees a basic competency in accurately interpreting and effectively performing CT Colonography, an advanced medical imaging diagnostic tool. There will be a focus on common pitfalls as well as technique-related tips to improve diagnostic confidence and performance.
Prostate MRI Workshop
Saturday, April 13, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Facilitator: Dr. Silvia Chang, University of British Columbia
Short high-impact didactic sessions are followed by a hands-on review of complete prostate MRI image files. Participants simulate real case reporting with the benefit of individualized feedback from instructors. The workshop covers the PIRADSv2 technique with examples of good and poor-quality images, PIRADSv2 interpretation of cases with an official template and the opportunity to review cases.
