Your Feedback
Included below is a summary of the survey results. Many radiology departments have had to increase staffing and extend clinic hours. This is causing stress and even burnout especially during this trying time. Health human resources was identified as the greatest hurdle in reducing wait times, however, more equipment is also required. Referrals have increased and many people believe that things will never return to pre-pandemic levels. Things must change if we are going to be able to provide timely care for our patients.

The CAR supports the radiology community and continues to advocate for an increased investment in medical imaging equipment, health human resources and the implementation of innovative imaging solutions to help radiologists in their practice. The CAR has asked the federal government to invest $1.5 billion over five years in these priorities. Further details regarding our asks can be found in our 2022 Pre-Budget Submission. We believe that we have made progress over the last few years and are hopeful that this will result in action. Healthcare is a central priority to the Federal Election and party leaders have indicated their stance in this area. We can use your support. As radiologists practicing in various regions, you have an opportunity to join the cause by engaging in grassroots advocacy.
