Position description
The McGill University Department of Diagnostic Radiology and the Radiology Department of MUHC are seeking a dynamic Pediatric Radiologist, with subspecialty or particular interest for pediatric musculoskeletal imaging, to join the Pediatric Medical Imaging Division of MUHC at the rank of assistant or associate professor (Clinical). This faculty appointment will be part of the academic contract of the candidate. The professorial rank will be according to the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
Applicants are encouraged to simultaneously apply to, and be considered for, the MUHC Director of the Division of Pediatric Radiology, although this is not required.
Job Duties
The successful candidate will be responsible for clinical, teaching, and research activities in Pediatric Radiology and its subspecialties. The incumbent will be expected to participate in on-call duties in diagnostic pediatric radiology, in rotation with the other members of the Division. The successful candidate will also be expected to be actively involved in all aspects of McGill’s academic mission (i.e., teaching, research, supervision of students and residents, and involvement in other scholarly duties such as academic and administrative committees).

Qualifications and Education Requirements for Pediatric Radiologist
Candidates must:
- Hold an MD degree and must hold, or be eligible for, licensure in the Province of Quebec;
- Have completed subspecialty training in Diagnostic Radiology with certification by the Collège des médecins du Québec or Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (or equivalent);
- Have a minimum of 1 year of additional subspecialty training/fellowship in Pediatric Radiology;
- Have subspecialty training, or particular interest and experience, in pediatric musculoskeletal imaging;
- Additional training and interest in pediatric abdominal imaging or fetal imaging would be considered an asset;
- Applicants should have a demonstrable interest and commitment to teaching, clinical research, and publication;
Bilingual language skills (French and English) are preferred, or a commitment to acquire the necessary language skills to practice medicine in Quebec. Candidates should be able to interact in English and in French with patients, families, and health care professionals.
