Strategic Plan

The Canadian Association of Radiologist' (CAR) 2023-27 Strategic Plan sets out the Association's goals and objectives and will help to guide the work of the CAR. This plan stems from a session that occurred with our Board of Directors in September 2022 in Halifax. Consultations with the Board, and a member survey were the driving force for the development of this plan.

The CAR strategic plan is centered around a framework that supports the Association’s vision of being “the voice for imaging excellence in patient care.”

Included within the plan are four (4) main points of focus:

• Pillars of Success – The core focus of our Association’s future success
• Strategic Intent – Clarifying the meaning of our Pillars of Success
• Strategic Objectives – Our Association’s definition of success – the outcomes we intend to achieve
• Key Initiatives – Identifying the major pieces of work that are required within each Pillar of Success to achieve the strategic objectives.

Implementation of this plan will ensure that the Association is offering optimum value to CAR members as well as raising the visibility for radiologists and the value that they can offer to patients and Canadian healthcare.
