Top-Tier Education
The CAR Scientific Planning Committee, in collaboration with the Affiliate Societies, delivered a program that was engaging for a broad range of attendees and brought in acclaimed speakers with specialized expertise. The educational tracks were diverse and were highlighted by five internationally renowned plenary sessions speakers. The CAR would like to thank Dr. Tanya Chawla, the outgoing Scientific Programming Committee Chair, for her leadership and commitment over the past several years. We are excited to welcome Dr. Chris Fung, who has officially begun his term as incoming Chair.
A hands-on workshop, Navigating Stroke Care: A Comprehensive Guide to Imaging, Classification, and Case Analysis, took place on Thursday, April 3, where attendees reviewed PACS cases and heard didactic lectures from experts in stroke imaging.

Thanks to unrestricted education grants from GE HealthCare and Hologic, attendees were treated to lunch while learning from subject matter experts on Saturday, April 5. Innovations in Breast Imaging: Novel Strategies and Management Approaches highlighted advancements in breast imaging co-developed by Hologic. Across the hall was a comprehensive introduction to theranostics, with the GE HealthCare co-developed symposium Theranostics in Action: Precision Medicine for Today and Tomorrow.
In addition to the traditional abstract oral presentation competition, a new showcase at CAR 2025 was the Short Oral Presentation Station. Selected authors gave brief summaries of their presentations to attendees during morning and afternoon breaks on April 4 and 5. Many drew a considerable crowd and proved to be a hit among attendees!

Chances to Get Together
The Welcome Reception, hosted by Hologic, was the official kick-off to the weekend, with welcoming remarks from Dr. Ania Kielar. The Trainee and Early Career Reception, hosted by Agfa Healthcare, was a chance to introduce the new RFS Chair, Dr. Rui Ning Gong, and get a picture taken at the red-carpet photo booth. The Vendor Cocktail provided the opportunity for attendees to meet with each other and industry partners.
For those eager to learn and get to know the Affiliate Societies, each held their own Business Meeting and had a featured space at the Vendor Cocktail for attendees to meet leadership and learn about their latest work.

Presidential Transition
While highlighting the achievements of radiologists during the CAR Awards Ceremony, a moment was taken to recognize the work of our departing CAR President, Dr. Ania Kielar, and officially welcome Dr. Alison Harris as the new CAR President.
