The British Columbia Radiological Society (BCRS) is pleased to announce that Dr. Simon Bicknell has assumed the role of President until Dec 2021. He has been at Coastal Community of Care since 2002, centrally involved at Lions Gate Hospital (LGH) and North Shore Medical Imaging (outpatient community clinic) in North Vancouver while also travelling to Sechelt and Squamish/Whistler for provision of onsite radiology services. Dr. Bicknell completed his Bachelor of Science at the University of Victoria, and medical school as well as radiology residency at the University of British Columbia. He was able to obtain additional subspecialized training in cardiac/echo and intervention during the residency program but today is most happy as a generalist interpreting all modalities.
“I am honoured to take over this role from Dr. Alison Harris who lead the organization over the past two years. Economic, quality and governance issues will be forefront in the future. We look forward to working with our colleagues and partners in achieving our goals, and to ensure the BC population has timely access to the highest quality radiology services.”
