Body Radiologist NIAGARA HEALTH
The Department of Radiology at Niagara Health is seeking a fellowship-trained Body Imaging radiologist to join the Diagnostic Imaging Service for a start date in 2024/25. The candidate will join a team of 30 radiologists. NH is a campus of McMaster University and candidates will be expected to be eligible for academic appointment.
As a full-time member within the Department of Radiology, the successful candidate will promote clinical excellence and have a strong commitment to support the NH vision and mission. The successful candidate will participate in all departmental quality initiatives as well as support our academic objectives. As a Body Radiologist the successful candidate will collaborate with a highly efficient team supporting NH clinical programs. The successful candidate is expected to have experience in all body imaging modalities. NH and the department are going through a period of rapid change including recent PACS and voice recognition renewal, new HIS and expansion of the CT and MRI programs. The department has played an integral part in the planning for a new South Niagara acute care Hospital site.
The successful candidate will be expected to be a supportive team player, with a strong commitment to patient care and quality improvement. The successful candidate will hold certification in Diagnostic Radiology with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or international equivalent.

Current Group:
30 Radiologists, including 4 interventional Radiologists, servicing 3 hospitals and two community centers (PCS & FES). The radiology group is expanding to better serve the hospital clinical needs. The radiologists provide on call service to all three hospital sites.
The Practice:
The Department currently has three clinical MR scanners, including a state-of the -art new 3T MR. 4 CT scanners and multiple Ultrasound units. The successful candidate is expected to provide expertise and support along with the other members for fluoroscopy, US, CT, X-Ray and MRI.

Academic Affiliations:
The McMaster University’s Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine has expanded to a regional campus in Niagara. Students at the Niagara Regional Campus complete their clinical rotations in one of the six area hospitals. The department supports undergraduate and postgraduate learners and has launched a successful Radiology Fellowship program. Opportunities for strengthening and building strong academic partnerships are a priority for Niagara Health. We are interested in Physicians who are eligible for university faculty appointment and are willing to participate in academic activities (teaching, research) within a strong regional community hospital setting.

Qualifications Required:
The successful applicant must:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Independent or eligible for Independent CPSO License
- Candidate should have a fellowship in Body imaging
- Strong interpretive skills in all imaging modalities including CT, MRI, Ultrasound and X-Ray
- Excellent clinical skills are a prerequisite for this high-volume department
- Candidate must have experience in basic CT and US guided procedures.
- Must have a strong interest and/or existing background in academic radiology
- Be eligible for academic appointment
Hold a valid OHIP billing number and have billing privileges
