Interventional Radiologist Partner-track Associated Radiologists LLP, a leading radiology practice in Saskatchewan, is currently seeking a partner-track Interventional Radiologist to join our team at St. Paul's Hospital in Saskatoon. Established in 1946, our practice comprises 27 physicians who provide comprehensive imaging and interventional radiology services across all modalities at hospitals within the Saskatchewan Health Authority and in our community-based clinics. As an Interventional Radiologist at St. Paul’s Hospital, you will join an existing team of 3 IRs in performing a wide range of image-guided procedures, including vascular and nonvascular interventions, biopsies, drainages, tumor ablations, and other advanced therapeutic techniques. Vascular work is inclusive of, but not limited to, arterial and venous recanalization, angioplasty and stenting, vascular access for dialysis and fistula interventions. IVUS is also available in addition to catheter directed thrombolysis for arterial and venous thrombosis. There is a strong Interventional Oncology program in Saskatoon, including TACE, RFA, Microwave ablation and IRE. Advanced Hepatobiliary work includes TIPS and BRTO forms an exciting component of our service. City-wide call service is on a shared basis and is currently at a 1:6 which provides good work-life balance. Candidates must be fellowship-trained and eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan, ideally holding FRCPC designation.   • On-site provision of care at CDC’s Calgary clinic locations.
  • Interpret and report on a broad range of imaging studies, including X-ray, ultrasound (general body, MSK, breast, obstetrical, and vascular), mammography (screening and diagnostic), fluoroscopy, and bone mineral densitometry.
  • Perform image-guided MSK and basic spine procedures for pain management, using fluoroscopy and ultrasound as applicable.
  • Collaborate with a skilled team of technologists, nurses, medical office assistants, Radiologists, Cardiologists, Physiatrists, and Perinatologists to ensure efficient and well-structured workflows.
  • Develop strong relationships with referring physicians, building trust and confidence in CDC’s diagnostic and procedural expertise.
  • Maintain a patient-centered approach, ensuring compassionate and effective communication to enhance the patient experience.
  • For sub-specialty-trained applicants, a limited volume of private MRI may be available.
What We’re Looking For
  • Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, Diagnostic Radiology, or equivalent.
  • College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta full licensure eligibility, Diagnostic Radiology.
  • Canadian Association of Radiologists mammography accreditation or eligibility.
  • CMPA membership.
  • Eligible for an Alberta Health billing number and practitioner ID.

The Department of Medical Imaging at Ridge Meadows Hospital is seeking radiologists to join our vibrant and growing community practice, to commensurate with a new MRI service and expansion of existing modalities. Maple Ridge is one of the fastest growing communities in British Columbia, boasting beautiful natural surroundings with a variety of outdoor activities, a diverse population and excellent access to downtown Vancouver. Ridge Meadows Hospital is part of the Fraser Health Authority, consisting of 157 acute care beds and receiving over 43,000 Emergency Room visits annually. Time required: Negotiable. Call responsibilities are split amongst group members Application deadline: Rolling applications accepted. Daily duties include radiography, fluoroscopy, general ultrasound, diagnostic breast imaging, musculoskeletal ultrasound, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging and a variety of image-guided procedures. Equipment currently consists of two dedicated DR radiography units, a Toshiba fixed-fluoroscopy C-arm unit, a GE portable ultrasound unit, four GE fully equipped clinical ultrasound units, a new GE 64-slice CT scanner, and a new, state-of-the-art 1.5T GE MRI unit that came into clinical service in Fall 2020. The Department is proud to be one of two early adoption sites for GE’s AIR ReconTM Deep Learning image reconstruction software. The group emphasizes evidenced-based practice, quality, strong communication, a collegial work environment, and scheduling flexibility. The successful candidates will be comfortable with general radiography and ultrasound, breast imaging, computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging, and basic interventional procedures.   • Flexibility, adaptability, and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work harmoniously with and contribute to a small group practice of 7 Radiologist.
  • MRI or MSK would be an asset.
  •  Willingness to share in administrative roles and future leadership of the group.
  • Interest in living in the local island community.
  • Training in or a willingness to train in CT Cardiac Coronary Angiography and CT Colonography.
  • Preference for lifestyle-based practice, with abundant vacation time and flexibility, but willingness to increase workload as needed.

Our hospital equipment includes 2 multi-slice CT scanners, a 1.5T MRI scanner (that runs 18-19 hrs/7 days a week), 2 interventional rooms, 2 nuclear medicine SPECT CT cameras and general imaging. Our outpatient imaging centres include Ultrasound, a 1.5T MRI, 2 nuclear medicine SPECT CT cameras, radiography, mammography, BMD, and a pain management program located in our 2 clinics in Red Deer and new clinic in Lacombe. We also have an ultrasound clinic in Sylvan Lake and tele US in 4 rural sites. The mission of our group is to provide high quality, state of the art patient-oriented medical imaging in a rewarding work environment. To this end, radiologists in our group have low call burden and high amounts of vacation. Work is shared equally and all radiologists with the necessary skills will have an opportunity to work in all areas. Full shareholder status will be offered after one year associateship, if mutually agreeable. THE POSITION: Interventional Radiology POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Moncton Hospital, a facility within Horizon Health Network, is recruiting full-time Interventional Radiologists to join our team of 15 Radiologists.  Services include all modalities including CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine as well as basic Fluoroscopic examinations and procedures. EMPLOYER: Horizon Health Network, www.horizonnb.ca, is one of the largest health-care organization in Atlantic Canada, operating 12 hospitals and more than 100 medical facilities, clinics and offices providing medical services ranging from acute care to community based health services to New Brunswick, northern Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.  With 1,000 physicians, an annual budget exceeding $1 billion and approximately 13,000 employees, Horizon Health Network’s strategic vision focuses on research, innovation and education. The Moncton Hospital is a 386-bed tertiary and critical care facility within Horizon Health Network.  Referral population includes Eastern New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and North-Western Nova Scotia.  It is a major referral hospital which serves communities throughout New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and northern Nova Scotia.  It is a Level II Trauma Centre and offers tertiary services in neurosurgery, oncology and neonatal care and includes all other major services and subspecialties. The Moncton Hospital offers excellent opportunities for teaching and clinical research and has academic affiliation with Dalhousie University and Memorial University of Newfoundland.  The hospital is one of the largest employers within metro Moncton, employing 3,000 staff and physicians. JOB DUTIES: A typical weekly schedule will include:
  • Assigned rotation to IR of approximately 75% and 25 % general radiology.
  • On-call coverage 1 in 4 .
  • Performance of basic IR , vascular and Oncology.
  • Regular participation at multi-disciplinary rounds
  • Occasional teaching residents and medical students
REMUNERATION: The Department of Medical Imaging at The Moncton Hospital has a group practice structure whereby work is divided equally; and radiologist fee-for-service income is pooled and shared among the group members.  This maintains a collegial atmosphere whereby high-quality clinical services can be provided without being impacted by financial considerations.  It also allows individual radiologists to specialize in less well remunerated areas of practice or procedures without seeing a reduction in income in comparison to their peers in the department.  All new radiologists joining the Department are expected to join this group structure.  Read more
