Endovascular Neurosurgeon - Interventional Neuroradiologist The Division of Neurosurgery, Department of Surgery at the University of Saskatchewan and Saskatchewan Health Authority is actively recruiting a neurosurgeon or radiologist with fellowship training and/or experience in cerebrovascular surgery, endovascular surgery or interventional neuroradiology. The position is based at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon. There are three Cerebrovascular/Endovascular Neurosurgeons providing provincial comprehensive cerebrovascular and endovascular neurosurgery care to a population of over 1.2 million people. The successful applicant will be required to work collaboratively with the neuroradiology and neurology members of the Saskatoon Stroke Program. The individual will be required to provide excellence in patient care, teaching, and research.  Significant clinical or translational research interests are required and supported. Academic appointment rank (Assistant, Associate, or full Professor) and will be recommended based on training and experience. Royal Columbian Hospital is a busy site located in New Westminster and provides tertiary care services to the Fraser Health Authority in Neurosciences, Cardiovascular, Trauma, Obstetrics/Perinatology, and Interventional Radiology. The Department of Medical Imaging at Ridge Meadows Hospital is seeking radiologists to join our vibrant and growing community practice, to commensurate with a new MRI service and expansion of existing modalities. Maple Ridge is one of the fastest growing communities in British Columbia, boasting beautiful natural surroundings with a variety of outdoor activities, a diverse population and excellent access to downtown Vancouver. Ridge Meadows Hospital is part of the Fraser Health Authority, consisting of 157 acute care beds and receiving over 43,000 Emergency Room visits annually. Time required: Negotiable. Call responsibilities are split amongst group members Application deadline: Rolling applications accepted. Daily duties include radiography, fluoroscopy, general ultrasound, diagnostic breast imaging, musculoskeletal ultrasound, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging and a variety of image-guided procedures. Equipment currently consists of two dedicated DR radiography units, a Toshiba fixed-fluoroscopy C-arm unit, a GE portable ultrasound unit, four GE fully equipped clinical ultrasound units, a new GE 64-slice CT scanner, and a new, state-of-the-art 1.5T GE MRI unit that came into clinical service in Fall 2020. The Department is proud to be one of two early adoption sites for GE’s AIR ReconTM Deep Learning image reconstruction software. The group emphasizes evidenced-based practice, quality, strong communication, a collegial work environment, and scheduling flexibility. The successful candidates will be comfortable with general radiography and ultrasound, breast imaging, computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging, and basic interventional procedures. Eligibility for licensure by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia is required.   • Interpret and report on a broad range of imaging studies, including X-ray, ultrasound (general body, MSK, breast, obstetrical, and vascular), mammography (screening and diagnostic), fluoroscopy, and bone mineral densitometry.
  • Perform image-guided MSK and basic spine procedures for pain management, using fluoroscopy and ultrasound as applicable.
  • Collaborate with a skilled team of technologists, nurses, medical office assistants, Radiologists, Cardiologists, Physiatrists, and Perinatologists to ensure efficient and well-structured workflows.
  • Develop strong relationships with referring physicians, building trust and confidence in CDC’s diagnostic and procedural expertise.
  • Maintain a patient-centered approach, ensuring compassionate and effective communication to enhance the patient experience.
  • For sub-specialty-trained applicants, a limited volume of private MRI may be available.
What We’re Looking For
  • Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, Diagnostic Radiology, or equivalent.
  • College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta full licensure eligibility, Diagnostic Radiology.
  • Canadian Association of Radiologists mammography accreditation or eligibility.
  • CMPA membership.
  • Eligible for an Alberta Health billing number and practitioner ID.

Advanced Hepatobiliary work includes TIPS and BRTO forms an exciting component of our service. With a new hospital planned to open in 2027, and expansion of radiologic services, this position provides a unique and exciting opportunity to participate in designing and optimizing both a hospital and imaging department. The successful candidate will have proficiency in CT, US, MRI, Mammography, Fluoroscopy, BMD and basic interventional procedures as well as:
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work harmoniously with and contribute to a small group practice of 7 Radiologist.
  • MRI or MSK would be an asset.
  •  Willingness to share in administrative roles and future leadership of the group.
  • Interest in living in the local island community.
  • Training in or a willingness to train in CT Cardiac Coronary Angiography and CT Colonography.
  • Preference for lifestyle-based practice, with abundant vacation time and flexibility, but willingness to increase workload as needed.

  • Partnership-track full time, hybrid on-site/remote diagnostic radiologist in primarily hospital based practice (academic and non-academic type practice)
  • Minimal weekend (8am - 5 pm) shifts per year (three-five weekends per year)
  • Evening shift from 5pm - 11:30 pm three times per year (or more if preferred) from Saturday evening to Friday evening (ie. 7 nights) with additional reimbursement - please note that neuroradiologists do not participate in this pool and have a separate call schedule
  • Residents cover from 11:30 pm to 8 am
  • Call shifts can be done remotely in the city
  • All areas of expertise are welcome
  • Subspecialty areas most needed (in order):
    • Neuroradiology
    • Chest/Cardiothoracic Radiology
    • General radiology
    • Ultrasound

Practice Details: Manitoba X-Ray Clinic provides service for St. Boniface, Grace, Concordia and Misericordia hospitals and an outpatient sports medicine facility. The hospital practices are high volume and include CT, X-ray, ultrasound, fluoroscopy and MRI (at our two tertiary facilities). General call duties are expected and include coverage of CT, US and Xray during the evening and weekends throughout the year. Call duties are split between all members of the group. Competitive remuneration is offered. Candidates must be eligible for board certification in Diagnostic Radiology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) or by eligible for American Board certification. Staff Radiologist – Assistant Professor Regular Full-Time (1.0 FTE) Department of Diagnostic Imaging IWK Health Centre & Dalhousie University   Union Status: Non-Union Closing Date: Open until Filled Start Date: January 1, 2025 IWK Health Centre, Department of Diagnostic Imaging is seeking applications for a full-time Radiologist with training and qualification in Pediatric Interventional Radiology and/or other pediatric radiology subspeciality (ie neuroradiology).  The successful candidate will join a faculty of 9 radiologists at a busy multi-subspecialty Pediatric and Women’s tertiary care academic center. This position offers the unique opportunity to participate in development and growth of pediatric interventional radiology in the Maritime provinces over the coming years.  Participation in diagnostic pediatric, obstetric/ fetal, and pelvic imaging in the daily schedule will be expected as well. Teaching and clinical research are integral parts of the role. The IWK Department of Diagnostic Imaging is affiliated with Dalhousie University Faculty of Medicine and offers pediatric radiology and fetal imaging training as a part of residency in Radiology. Additionally, the department supports a Pediatric Radiology Residency Program, accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (Canada). Candidates should demonstrate strong communication skills and dedication to advance academic radiology. The successful candidate will have an appointment as assistant professor with Dalhousie University, Department of Radiology that includes research opportunities and teaching responsibilities for undergraduate/graduate students in the Faculty of Medicine. As well, the department participates in training of fellows and residents at the IWK.  Financial compensation will be commensurate with standard compensation package based on the group’s practise plan and revenue share model. IWK Health Centre is a premier academic medical center of Dalhousie University’s multi-campus health centre system.
