- Participate equally in provision of abdominal on-call services at the Vancouver General Hospital, University of British Columbia Hospital and BC Women’s Hospital.
- Teaching activities include undergraduate instruction and supervision of residents in diagnostic radiology and affiliated specialties. The Abdominal Imaging Fellowship Program is based at Vancouver General Hospital, and currently accepts six clinical fellows annually. In addition to teaching responsibilities to the fellows, there are many research opportunities available. The successful applicant will be expected to contribute to the section’s academic and administrative mandate.
- The candidate must hold an MD degree or equivalent
- The candidate must have completed fellowship training in Body/Abdominal Radiology (or equivalent).
- All applicants must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC).
- All applicants must be eligible for licensure in the province of British Columbia.
- University appointment at the University of British Columbia will be granted in the clinical stream commensurate with previous rank/experience.
- Candidates will have expertise in interpretation of general ultrasound, abdominal CT and MRI, diagnostic abdominal fluoroscopy and abdominal radiographs.
- Be proficient in ultrasound and CT- guided biopsy and drainage procedures.
- Be accredited and proficient in the reporting of CT Colonography examinations.
- Be familiar with the performance of MR fusion-Ultrasound guided prostate biopsy.
- Experience with 3T MRI, Advanced MRI, US and CT Techniques including MR or US Elastrography and Dual-Energy CT would be a significant advantage including research in these areas.
- Ability to interpret full body imaging would be an asset, not a requirement, in order to support remote Radiology service across the province of BC.
- Knowledge and research in AI would be an asset

Wellington Regional Hospital is one of New Zealand’s five tertiary medical centres and our radiology department is a recognised training institution for Registrars MITs and Sonographers. An emphasis is placed on teaching, including on-going personal and professional development. Mō tō mātou rōpū – About our team The Paediatric Radiologist team work closely and support the Neonatal service, in and outpatient Paediatric services and Paediatric services. The majority of paediatrics services are delivered in the recently completed and wonderful new Te Wao Nui – Child Health service and hospital onsite at Wellington Regional Hospital. Our Paediatric Radiologists are an important part of the wider diagnostic Radiologist team and contribute to the general workload of the department including the diagnostic on-call roster. We also have a close working relationships with our other regional hospitals in Hutt Valley and Wairarapa. Moū – About you- Vocationally registered in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ)
- FRANZCR or equivalent qualification and be able to register for vocational registration with the MCNZ
- Have completed a fellowship or extensive experience in Paediatric Radiology
- Experienced in diagnostic radiology services including but not limited to:
- Plain films, Fluoroscopic and special procedures, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, Angiography
- On call component
- Work in collaboration with multidisciplinary team
- Able to provide consistently high standards of medical care
- Relevant experience and training

- Cultivate strong patient relationships through effective communication, empathy, and a patient-centric approach.
- Develop superb relationships with referring physicians to inspire their confidence in our ability to support them in caring for their patients, including formal and informal CME.
- General body ultrasound; MSK, breast, obstetrical, and vascular ultrasound.
- Image-guided MSK and basic spine procedures for pain management, under both fluoroscopy and ultrasound as applicable.
- Screening and diagnostic mammography
- General radiography
- Bone mineral densitometry
- Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, Diagnostic Radiology, or equivalent
- College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta full licensure eligibility, Diagnostic Radiology
- Canadian Association of Radiologists mammography accreditation or eligibility
- CMPA membership
- Eligible for an Alberta Health billing number and practitioner ID
- Exhibit excellent communication skills, both with patients and a multidisciplinary medical team.
