Radiologue pédiatrique  Centre hospitalier universitaire Sainte-Justine – Département d’imagerie médicale (poste permanent à temps complet) Description du poste Le ou la candidat(e) retenu(e) intégrera une équipe hautement qualifiée et participera activement aux missions de soins, d’enseignement et de recherche du centre, notamment : • Réalisation et interprétation d’examens d’imagerie pédiatrique et obstétricale (radiographie, fluoroscopie, échographie, tomodensitométrie, imagerie par résonance magnétique) • Collaboration étroite avec les équipes cliniques dans la prise en charge des patients • Encadrement et enseignement des résidents, moniteurs cliniques et étudiants en médecine • Possibilité de s’impliquer dans des projets de recherche clinique ou fondamentale en lien avec l’imagerie pédiatrique et obstétricale • Participation aux activités de garde en radiologie diagnostique selon un horaire partagé entre les membres de l’équipe Profil recherché • Médecin spécialiste en radiologie diagnostique avec formation complémentaire (fellowship) en radiologie pédiatrique d’une durée minimale d’un (1) an • Certification du Collège royal des médecins et chirurgiens du Canada (ou équivalent reconnu) • Admissibilité au permis d’exercice du Collège des médecins du Québec. • Excellente maîtrise de la langue française, tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit (langue de travail) • Intérêt marqué pour le travail en milieu académique et en équipe interdisciplinaire • Engagement dans l’amélioration continue des soins, de l’enseignement et/ou de la recherche Qualités recherchées Le ou la candidat(e) idéal(e) possède un excellent jugement clinique, une grande rigueur diagnostique ainsi qu’une capacité à communiquer efficacement avec les équipes multidisciplinaires et les familles. THE POSITION: Interventional Radiology POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Moncton Hospital, a facility within Horizon Health Network, is recruiting full-time Interventional Radiologists to join our team of 15 Radiologists.  Services include all modalities including CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine as well as basic Fluoroscopic examinations and procedures. EMPLOYER: Horizon Health Network, www.horizonnb.ca, is one of the largest health-care organization in Atlantic Canada, operating 12 hospitals and more than 100 medical facilities, clinics and offices providing medical services ranging from acute care to community based health services to New Brunswick, northern Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.  With 1,000 physicians, an annual budget exceeding $1 billion and approximately 13,000 employees, Horizon Health Network’s strategic vision focuses on research, innovation and education. The Moncton Hospital is a 386-bed tertiary and critical care facility within Horizon Health Network.  Referral population includes Eastern New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and North-Western Nova Scotia.  It is a major referral hospital which serves communities throughout New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and northern Nova Scotia.  It is a Level II Trauma Centre and offers tertiary services in neurosurgery, oncology and neonatal care and includes all other major services and subspecialties. The Moncton Hospital offers excellent opportunities for teaching and clinical research and has academic affiliation with Dalhousie University and Memorial University of Newfoundland.  The hospital is one of the largest employers within metro Moncton, employing 3,000 staff and physicians. JOB DUTIES: A typical weekly schedule will include:
  • Assigned rotation to IR of approximately 75% and 25 % general radiology.
  • On-call coverage 1 in 4 .
  • Performance of basic IR , vascular and Oncology.
  • Regular participation at multi-disciplinary rounds
  • Occasional teaching residents and medical students
REMUNERATION: The Department of Medical Imaging at The Moncton Hospital has a group practice structure whereby work is divided equally; and radiologist fee-for-service income is pooled and shared among the group members.  This maintains a collegial atmosphere whereby high-quality clinical services can be provided without being impacted by financial considerations.  It also allows individual radiologists to specialize in less well remunerated areas of practice or procedures without seeing a reduction in income in comparison to their peers in the department.  All new radiologists joining the Department are expected to join this group structure.  Read more

EFW Radiology exclusively serves The Foothills Hospital, Calgary's major academic center located beside the Cumming School of Medicine, as well as the South Health Campus, the newest hospital in Calgary. Additionally, EFW operates multiple clinics across the community, offering outpatient X-rays, ultrasounds, and mammography services. The cardiothoracic imaging division oversees a well-established and expanding clinical practice covering adult thoracic and cardiovascular services, including radiography, CT, and MR imaging. The Division is actively engaged in diverse educational activities, including teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. The preferred candidate will provide consultations across the full spectrum of cardiothoracic imaging and participate in weekly multidisciplinary chest conferences, including tumor boards, interstitial lung disease discussions, and case review rounds in collaboration with the Division of Respirology. Additionally, participation in the body on-call schedule and in our clinics is expected. Proficiency in diagnostic mammography (non-procedural) is desirable. About the Position The Cross Cancer Institute, in conjunction with the University of Alberta and Alberta Health Services, is recruiting into a radiologist position with a keen interest in oncologic imaging, as well as strong cross-sectional and procedural skills to join the current group of 17 radiologists. The ideal candidates will have completed a dedicated body imaging fellowship or equivalent, with multimodality experience involving image guided procedures. Preference will be given to candidates who have had practical work experience in body imaging. Applicants without a body fellowship, but with strong clinical and leadership experience in oncologic imaging, are also encouraged to apply. Job Duties
  • The position is predominantly clinical but will include academic / teaching / administration components
  • Candidates would have an academic appointment within the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Alberta.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds / tumor boards to contribute imaging expertise to patient management discussions

Prostate MRI and Anorectal cancer staging MRI are specific targeted growth areas within the institution. Candidates must display evidence of an ability to work in an interdisciplinary, collaborative environment. With the academic component of this position, there is an expectation of participation in undergraduate medical education, residency training, and research. The Department has an established internal research grant process, and the successful candidate will be encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity. Candidates must demonstrate strong potential for outstanding teaching and research contributions. Clinical responsibilities would include Plain Film Reporting, Barium Studies and General Fluoroscopy, Computed Tomography (including CT colonography), Ultrasound, and Abdominopelvic MRI. There is a strong collaboration with specialists through Oncology, GI, Surgery, Gynecology, and Urology. Participation in Multidisciplinary GI, GU, Gynecology Oncology, and Malignant Hematology Cancer Conferences, which are held weekly through the Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario is an expectation. About the Position The Cross Cancer Institute, in conjunction with the University of Alberta and Alberta Health Services, is seeking a physician with dual certification in radiology and nuclear medicine to join the current group of 18 imaging physicians. Strong skills in cross-sectional imaging (CT, MRI, and ultrasound), oncologic imaging, and general radiology are a requirement. The candidate will report general nuclear medicine studies as well as PET/CT and PET/MR. Potential for joining the therapy team for peptide receptor radioligand therapy (PRRT) for those who are interested. An aptitude for, and additional training in, multimodality image guided biopsies and venous access procedures would be a bonus. Job Duties

Cardiothoracic Imaging at Queen’s is recognized for providing high quality care and is closely integrated with Respirology, Thoracic Surgery, Oncology, Cardiology, and Cardiac Surgery through multidisciplinary conferences as well as collaborative clinical and research initiatives. The Division is engaged in diverse educational activities through teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows. Candidates must demonstrate strong potential for outstanding teaching contributions. The preferred candidate will provide consultations and procedures for the full spectrum of Cardiothoracic imaging and participate in weekly multi-disciplinary chest conferences. Finally, there is expectation of participation in the Department Body/Plain Films On-call schedule. PEDIATRIC GENERAL RADIOLOGIST – HAMILTON McMaster University, Department of Medical Imaging, in conjunction with Hamilton Health Sciences, Department of Diagnostic Imaging, is seeking a full-time academic Pediatric General Radiologist to provide care at McMaster Children’s Hospital (MCH). MCH is a globally renowned pediatric hospital dedicated to children’s health delivering excellence in clinical care, child health research and education. It is home to some of the country’s most  respected pediatric care programs, including Canada’s largest NICU and the largest prosthetic and orthotics facility of its kind. MCH also houses one of Ontario’s fastest growing pediatric  emergency department and largest inpatient child and youth mental health unit, and more. MCH is undergoing the most significant expansion in its history, fueled by a landmark provincial  investment to expand critical services, add top-tier clinicians, and improve access to cutting-edge pediatric care for families across Ontario. Each year MCH has over 210,000 patient encounters in our subspecialty clinics, diagnostic areas, emergency department, inpatient wards and operating rooms. The volume and complexity of  pediatric imaging work is constantly increasing. The Pediatric Department is continually expanding, and our imaging team is recruiting to meet the need for expanding dedicated pediatric imaging and intervention services for the site. The successful candidate will assume a companion faculty position at McMaster University, with academic rank commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience. The successful  candidate will promote clinical scholarship through teaching, mentorship and support for research and will demonstrate excellence in clinical care, exhibit collegial, civil relations in all  interactions. The McMaster Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program is a highly rated training program in Canada. Participation in teaching and supervision for our strong residency and  undergraduate programs is required. Candidates must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the Province of Ontario, certified (or eligible for certification) in Diagnostic Radiology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, or equivalent and meet the credentialing requirements of Hamilton Health Sciences.
