The Clinic

Our group of 10 general radiologists based out of the new Grande Prairie Regional Hospital in Grande Prairie, Alberta is currently seeking one general radiologist to join our group, due to growth. We moved into our new hospital facility just over three years ago.  Our hospital practice encompasses general radiography, fluoroscopy, diagnostic mammography/tomosynthesis, non-vascular interventional procedures, ultrasound, CT, nuclear medicine and MRI.  Much of the equipment in the new hospital is new, including two new CT scanners, MRI scanner, tomosynthesis unit and prone mammotome biopsy table. We also provide services to an outpatient clinic that includes pain procedures, ultrasound, general radiography, mammography/tomosynthesis and BMD.

Extra Training or experience in Nuclear Medicine and or Women’s and Breast Imaging  would be an asset.

Practice Details

We have a busy and varied radiology practice with ample holiday time and an excellent income. Our practice may be of interest to you if you want to practice a full array of radiology modalities, including basic interventional procedures, and if you want to work hard, make above average income, and have plenty of holiday time.

There is one initial partnership track year, with great salary plus procedure income, and good holiday leave. Full partnership can be attained after one year if mutually agreeable, with full income and shared holiday time.

Location

Grande Prairie is a thriving city of about 66 000 people with industries including farming, lumber and oil/gas. Our catchment area for secondary care services includes much of Northwest Alberta as well as some of North Eastern BC.  ur overall catchment area is close to 250 000. Grande Prairie is a self-sufficient community with good schools, a community college with university transfer programs and some degree programs. There are good sports facilities, cultural events and lots of outdoor recreational opportunities.

We are mainly interested in radiologists who would like to pursue full time employment with our group, but locum work (especially long-term locums), could be considered.
