Diagnostic Radiologist - Winnipeg Manitoba X-Ray Clinic is currently seeking a radiologist who is Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) certified in Diagnostic Radiology for short term and long term (available from 6-12 months), with partnership track opportunity. Position: The position is for a diagnostic radiologist to join our primarily hospital based practice. The group provides service for St. Boniface, Grace, Concordia and Misericordia hospitals and an outpatient sports medicine facility. The hospital practices are high volume and include CT, X-ray, ultrasound, fluoroscopy and MRI (at our two tertiary facilities). General call duties are expected and include coverage of CT, US and Xray during the evening and weekends throughout the year. Call duties are split between all members of the group. The Timmins and District Hospital (TADH) is recruiting for a full-time or part-time Radiologist to join our innovative, multi-disciplinary referral and teaching hospital in Timmins, Ontario, located in Northeastern Ontario. About the Timmins and District Hospital TADH is a 154-bed referral and teaching hospital. It offers multidisciplinary care in the areas of emergency, medical, surgical, critical care, maternity, newborn, pediatric, long-term care, and mental health services. TADH provides care to a catchment population of approximately 115,000 people. The Diagnostic Imaging Department is equipped with a fluoroscopy suite, several ultrasound machines, a 320 slice Canon CT and a 1.5T Siemens MRI unit. The department offers some minor non-vascular interventional services, which are assigned along with other diagnostic studies on a rotational basis. If not trained, willingness to participate and obtain training for CT colonography and BMD certification will be considered an asset. The Timmins and District Hospital supports approximately 95,000 annual diagnostic exams. TADH radiologists practice in a true consultative manner with the referring physicians and communities. Remote reading from outside of Timmins is not part of our practice. Position Requirements
  • Candidates must have Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada certification in Diagnostic Radiology
  • Applicants must be eligible to be licensed to practice in the Province of Ontario and have Canadian Medical Protective Associate (CMPA) coverage
  • Established training and skills in reporting all imaging modalities including: x-ray, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT, and MRI
  • Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to converse with clinicians and staff at different sites regarding patient care is essential

  • The Timmins and District Hospital provides an incentive package up to $60,000 over four years.
  • Applicants are eligible for a repayable interest-free loan up to $150,000.

        The Department of Medical Imaging at The Ottawa Hospital (TOH) is seeking a fellowship trained Musculoskeletal radiologist for a full‐time position to join the Musculoskeletal Imaging Section. The candidate will serve the three campuses of The Ottawa Hospital, the core adult teaching hospital for the University of Ottawa, as well as affiliated community hospitals and ancillary programs. As a Section Member, the successful candidate will work collaboratively as part of a highly efficient team for providing dedicated musculoskeletal expertise supporting strong programs in ER/trauma, orthopaedic surgery, oncology, rheumatology, physiatry and sports medicine. Broad diagnostic musculoskeletal skills in all modalities including radiography, ultrasound, CT and MRI are required. Proficiency to perform a wide range of image guided interventional procedures including biopsies, aspirations, arthrograms and spine injections is required. Experience with advanced interventional procedures including osteoplasty, RF ablation and cryoablation are considered a strong asset.  In addition, the candidate should be willing and able to perform general, non-MSK, radiology tasks. Skills and/or interest in scholarly activity and research are required. They will be expected to be a supportive team player, with a strong commitment to patient care, quality improvement, research, and teaching. The successful candidate will hold certification in Diagnostic Radiology with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or international equivalent and have completed an MSK subspecialty clinical fellowship. The Cardiothoracic Imaging Division operates an established and growing clinical practice covering adult pulmonary and cardiovascular services including radiography, CT, and MR imaging. The Division also provides imaged-guided (CT) chest interventions including lung, mediastinal and pleural biopsies. Cardiothoracic Imaging at Queen’s is recognized for providing high quality care and is closely integrated with Respirology, Thoracic Surgery, Oncology, Cardiology, and Cardiac Surgery through multidisciplinary conferences as well as collaborative clinical and research initiatives. The Division is engaged in diverse educational activities through teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows. PEDIATRIC GENERAL RADIOLOGIST WINNIPEG, MANITOBA, CANADA The Section of Pediatric Radiology of the Winnipeg Children’s Hospital, Shared Health Manitoba, and Department of Radiology of the University of Manitoba seek fellowship trained Pediatric Radiologists. Full-time and part-time positions are available. The Section of Pediatric Radiology is responsible for all body, musculoskeletal, thoracic, and CNS imaging in pediatric patients. The Section currently conducts 52,568 exams per year, (33,881 plain film, 556 Fluoroscopy, 9189 ultrasound, 3952 MRI and 3903 CT). Seven congenial pediatric Radiologists work in the section (3 full time and 4 part-time). On call duties are shared equally by 7 radiologists.  This posting is to accommodate general increasing demand for services in pediatric radiology, as well as anticipated future increases in service scope to include off site image interpretation to remote and rural areas of Manitoba. On site there are 2 radiography rooms, 1 fluoroscopy suite, 5 ultrasound imaging rooms, 1 CT scanner (Siemens FLASH), 1 MRI (Siemens 1.5 T), and access to a 3T MRI. Employment duties include interpreting a full range of diagnostic imaging studies. We encourage close cooperation with our clinical colleagues with many scheduled clinical-imaging rounds. All section members hold academic appointments with the University of Manitoba. The section prides itself on its dedication to teaching radiology residents, pediatric residents and medical students. Participation in research is encouraged. Future duties may include remote supervision of imaging examinations in Northern and remote communities. The Section is located in a state-of-the-art pediatric imaging center.  The Children’s Hospital in Winnipeg is the only referral center for pediatrics in Manitoba, with catchments areas extending to include portions of Nunavut and NW Ontario. Qualifications:
  • Fellowship in Pediatric Radiology.

As a full-time member within the Department of Radiology, the successful candidate will promote clinical excellence and have a strong commitment to support the NH vision and mission. The successful candidate will participate in all departmental quality initiatives as well as support our academic objectives.  As a Body Radiologist the successful candidate will collaborate with a highly efficient team supporting NH clinical programs. The successful candidate is expected to have experience in all body imaging modalities. NH and the department are going through a period of rapid change including recent PACS and voice recognition renewal, new HIS and expansion of the CT and MRI programs. The department has played an integral part in the planning for a new South Niagara acute care Hospital site. The successful candidate will be expected to be a supportive team player, with a strong commitment to patient care and quality improvement.       BODY IMAGING RADIOLOGIST – HAMILTON GENERAL SITE Hamilton General Hospital is a large tertiary referral centre, with a busy Level 1 trauma centre.  Applicants must possess skills that will enhance our tertiary imaging team and multi-disciplinary programs. The University and Hospital Departments require a highly motivated body imaging radiologist who has expertise in all areas of body imaging including radiography, ultrasound, body CT and body MR. The body imaging service at Hamilton General supports a variety of general and tertiary level subspecialty medical and surgical services The position involves scheduling for clinical work, subspecialty and teaching rounds, encompassing assignments in both inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as participation in the Department on-call body imaging schedule.  Collaboration with colleagues on improved body imaging protocols, quality control initiatives and training of technologists is expected.  Candidates must have completed specialty training in radiology, with the ideal applicant completing a fellowship in body imaging or equivalent. The Hamilton General Hospital radiology association consists of 30 subspecialty trained radiologists overseeing tertiary care practice and a diverse community independent health facility (IHF) practice.  The association offers flexible percentage FTE status for interested applicants.  Our practice model offers hybrid reporting options with mixture of on-site and remote reporting opportunities to allow for flexible scheduling. The clinic specializes in performing obstetrical ultrasound in a trauma-informed way, with a focus on women’s health and openness to expanding their services in this area. The successful candidate must be passionate about improving the standards of care for women and helping to change the way that imaging is provided to women in our communities. This is a community practice accredited as a Diagnostic Imaging facility with the CPSA (billed fee for service with Alberta Health). The successful candidate will work alongside OBGYNs/Maternal-Fetal Medicine subspecialists and MFM trained sonographers and nursing staff. The Women’s Health Imaging Specialist will be responsible for reviewing ultrasound images, reporting the findings, and consulting with patients as indicated within scope of practice. Additional tasks are needed as per the CPSA standards of practice. This position is more than for women's health imaging. As a new clinic looking to expand and building new spaces, the clinic is searching partnership with radiologist to increase the scope of services offered.
