Job Summary
The Diagnostic Imaging Program of NL Health Services Urban Zone invites expression of interest for two full-time Radiologists in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador. All interested applicants are encouraged to apply. The successful candidates will join a group of 10 Radiologists working at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital (SCMH). SCMH is the provincial tertiary care center for ENT, Breast, Thoracic and Vascular surgery and is also a teaching hospital affiliated with Memorial University of Newfoundland School of Medicine and their Radiology Residency training program giving opportunities for research and teaching to the incumbent.
This radiology group offers a busy service in CT, MRI, US, Mammography, Angio-interventional, Fluoroscopy and General radiology, with a full scope of image guided procedures. The successful candidate will be expected to work as a general radiologist but not necessarily in all the areas listed above. If the candidate has additional specialty training in any field, these skills would be of an added benefit and utilized. There is a call expectation as well and responsibilities are shared with the Radiology Residents – currently call is approximately 1 week in 8 (will change as staffing levels fluctuate), with an option to perform most call duties from home. The number of weeks off per year fluctuate but are generally between 10-12 weeks per year.
Required Qualifications
- Medical Degree.
- Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification (or equivalent) in Radiology.
- Deemed eligible for licensure to practice by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador. For more information visit: [email protected].
