Professeur assistant/associé (clinique) Faculté de médecine - Département de radiologie diagnostique   Le Département de radiologie diagnostique de l'Université McGill sollicite des candidatures pour un poste à temps plein au rang de professeur adjoint ou associé (clinique). Le rang professoral sera déterminé en fonction des qualifications et de l'expérience du candidat. Il s'agit d'un poste de personnel académique contractuel qui ne donne pas droit à la titularisation. Le candidat sera affecté à la pratique clinique au Centre universitaire de santé McGill (CUSM). Le CUSM est l'un des principaux hôpitaux universitaires de McGill, affilié à la Faculté de médecine et des sciences de la santé de l'Université McGill, de renommée internationale, située dans la ville dynamique et multiculturelle de Montréal. Les hôpitaux du CUSM abritent quatre systèmes d'IRM 3T, cinq systèmes d'IRM 1,5T, deux scanners PET-CT, 10 scanners CT et 30 unités d'échographie. Il comprend environ 800 lits et réalise plus de 500 000 procédures radiologiques par an. Des opportunités de recherche exceptionnelles existent au sein du département et entre les départements de la Faculté de médecine et des sciences de la santé, ainsi qu'avec d'autres facultés de l'Université. Fonctions Le candidat retenu devra participer activement à tous les aspects de la mission universitaire de l'Université McGill (c.-à-d. enseignement, participation à des comités universitaires et administratifs), fournir un excellent enseignement clinique et superviser les résidents et les étudiants en médecine, et poursuivre des activités d'érudition visant à faire progresser les soins cliniques ou la recherche clinique. Le candidat sera responsable des activités cliniques, d'enseignement et de recherche en US, CT, IRM et interventions non vasculaires, et se joindra à la section d'imagerie abdominale du CUSM, qui comprend actuellement six membres à temps plein de la faculté d'imagerie corporelle et sept membres à temps partiel. Les membres du corps professoral de McGill doivent contribuer à des activités de service au sein de leur unité, de l'université et de la communauté scientifique au sens large. On attend également d'eux qu'ils fassent preuve d'un engagement manifeste en faveur de l'équité, de la diversité et de l'inclusion. Qualifications et exigences
  • Les candidats doivent être titulaires d'un doctorat en médecine ou d'un doctorat en médecine ou d'un diplôme équivalent ;
  • Les candidats doivent être certifiés en radiologie diagnostique (Collège royal ou équivalent) et avoir terminé un stage officiel en imagerie abdominale et en intervention non vasculaire ;
  • Les candidats doivent être admissibles à un permis d'exercice de la médecine délivré par le Collège des médecins du Québec ;
  • Les candidats doivent démontrer qu'ils ont le potentiel de devenir un clinicien, un enseignant et un chercheur exceptionnel dans les domaines de l'imagerie abdominale, de la tomodensitométrie, de l'imagerie par résonance magnétique et des interventions non vasculaires ;
  • Des compétences linguistiques bilingues (français et anglais) sont préférables, ou un engagement à acquérir les compétences linguistiques nécessaires pour pratiquer la médecine au Québec. Les candidats doivent être capables d'interagir en anglais et en français avec les patients, les familles et les professionnels de la santé ;
  • Une expérience de leadership et des compétences administratives sont considérées comme un atout.

CARDIOTHORACIC RADIOLOGIST The Department of Medical Imaging at The Ottawa Hospital (TOH) is seeking a fellowship trained Cardiothoracic radiologist for a full‐time position to join the Cardiac and Thoracic Imaging Sections. The candidate will serve the three campuses of The Ottawa Hospital, the core adult teaching hospital for the University of Ottawa, as well as affiliated community hospitals and ancillary programs. As part of the Cardiac and Thoracic Imaging Sections, the successful candidate will be responsible to work collaboratively within a highly efficient team providing dedicated Cardiothoracic expertise and interpreting in‐ and outpatient studies. The candidate will require broad skills in all relevant modalities, including radiography, CT, and MRI. They should also have working knowledge of post-processing software including SyngoVia, CVI42 and TeraRecon. The candidate should excel at various thoracic procedures including thoracic biopsies and small-bore chest tube insertions. The successful candidate will provide consultations for the full spectrum of Cardiothoracic diseases. Skills and/or interest in scholarly activity and research are required. They will be expected to be a supportive team player, with a strong commitment to patient care, quality improvement, research, and teaching. The successful candidate will hold certification in Diagnostic Radiology with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or international equivalent. As the central hub of an integrated regional health system and Canada’s largest teaching and research hospital, TOH is a level 1 trauma, 1,297‐bed tertiary, academic health sciences centre serving a population of 1.2M. The Ottawa Hospital is the core adult teaching hospital for the University of Ottawa. The Department of Medical Imaging, at The Ottawa Hospital is one of 5 departments or divisions and three hospital groups contributing to the academic mission of the Department of Radiology, Radiation Oncology and Medical Physics, within the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ottawa. This radiology group offers a busy service in CT, MRI, US, Mammography, Angio-interventional, Fluoroscopy and General radiology, with a full scope of image guided procedures. The successful candidate will be expected to work as a general radiologist but not necessarily in all the areas listed above. If the candidate has additional specialty training in any field, these skills would be of an added benefit and utilized. There is a call expectation as well and responsibilities are shared with the Radiology Resident - Core services include general radiography, ultrasound, CT, MRI and basic interventional radiology. Breast imaging is also provided as a service and would be open to candidates with appropriate training and experience. Ability to perform non-vascular interventional procedures such as percutaneous abscess drainage would be an asset. Fellowship training would also be an asset. Rotating coverage includes off-site home reporting. The primary location is Belleville General Hospital, which lies between the beautiful Counties of Hastings and the vineyard region of Prince Edward County.
