The Department of Medical Imaging at Ridge Meadows Hospital is seeking radiologists to join our vibrant and growing community practice, to commensurate with a new MRI service and expansion of existing modalities. Maple Ridge is one of the fastest growing communities in British Columbia, boasting beautiful natural surroundings with a variety of outdoor activities, a diverse population and excellent access to downtown Vancouver. Ridge Meadows Hospital is part of the Fraser Health Authority, consisting of 157 acute care beds and receiving over 43,000 Emergency Room visits annually. Time required: Negotiable. Call responsibilities are split amongst group members Application deadline: Rolling applications accepted. Daily duties include radiography, fluoroscopy, general ultrasound, diagnostic breast imaging, musculoskeletal ultrasound, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging and a variety of image-guided procedures. Equipment currently consists of two dedicated DR radiography units, a Toshiba fixed-fluoroscopy C-arm unit, a GE portable ultrasound unit, four GE fully equipped clinical ultrasound units, a new GE 64-slice CT scanner, and a new, state-of-the-art 1.5T GE MRI unit that came into clinical service in Fall 2020. The Department is proud to be one of two early adoption sites for GE’s AIR ReconTM Deep Learning image reconstruction software. The group emphasizes evidenced-based practice, quality, strong communication, a collegial work environment, and scheduling flexibility.   • Training in or a willingness to train in CT Cardiac Coronary Angiography and CT Colonography.
  • Preference for lifestyle-based practice, with abundant vacation time and flexibility, but willingness to increase workload as needed.

Eligible candidates must hold Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification in Radiology and be eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC. Benefits: May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA) including:
  • relocation cost reimbursements to a maximum of $15,000
  • recruitment incentive $10,000
  • Fee Premium 4.20%
  • Annual flat fee $6,508.80
Rural CME starting at $3,000/annum in years 3 &4 increasing to a maximum of $6,000/annum after 4 years. More information available
