The CAR extends a warm welcome to the incoming Canadian Society of Pediatric Radiology (CanSPR) President Dr. Elka Miller, and Vice-President Dr. Katya Rozovsky. We look forward to working with them to achieve the goals and advance the mission of the CanSPR.

The CAR would like to express our deep gratitude to Dr. Lucia Carpineta for her exceptional leadership, dedication, and support as the founding President of CanSPR. Her visionary leadership since 2019 has been instrumental in shaping the future of pediatric radiology in Canada. We look forward to her continued guidance and support as she takes on the role of Past-President on the CanSPR Executive Committee for the next two years.

Dr. Miller says she is thrilled to get started in her new role.

“Being the President of the CanSPR is a great honor and a tremendous opportunity for me to contribute to the mission of pediatric radiologists in Canada, promoting various aspects of imaging for diagnosing and treating children and youth. I am hopeful that I can make a positive impact on the organization and its members, particularly in areas related to the practice of pediatric radiology.”

Dr. Miller brings her leadership experience to the role and is looking forward to engaging with peers in her subspecialty.

“I aim to assist pediatric radiologists in Canada in addressing current challenges. Drawing from my leadership experience, I intend to foster active participation and engagement among existing and new members. My goal is to stimulate discussions about collaborative projects within the CanSPR. I am enthusiastic about the chance to inspire and motivate others to participate in collective endeavors, fostering a sense of unity and shared purpose.”
