Abdominal Imaging Radiologist

The Department of Diagnostic Radiology at Queen’s University is seeking a full-time Academic Abdominal Imaging Radiologist with fellowship training in Abdominal Imaging. The successful candidate will provide specialized diagnostic imaging services, participate in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education, contribute to research activities, and collaborate within multidisciplinary clinical teams. Expertise in hepatobiliary, urologic, gastrointestinal oncology imaging, prostate MRI, and anorectal cancer staging MRI is considered an asset.

Key Responsibilities

Provide clinical interpretation and reporting of plain films, fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound, and abdominopelvic MRI examinations. Participate in multidisciplinary oncology conferences and body imaging on-call services. Collaborate with specialists in oncology, gastroenterology, surgery, gynecology, and urology. Contribute to medical student and resident education, support departmental research initiatives, and engage in academic activities consistent with Queen’s University’s mission.

Qualifications

  • MD degree (or equivalent)
  • Fellowship training in Abdominal Imaging
  • Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
  • Certification in Diagnostic Radiology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC), or eligibility for certification preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in Abdominal Imaging
  • Strong teaching, research, and collaborative skills
  • Experience or interest in hepatobiliary, gastrointestinal, genitourinary oncology imaging, prostate MRI, and anorectal cancer staging MRI considered an asset
