Financing models for healthcare are evolving, with greater emphasis now being placed on value. How does radiology fit into this equation and how can we be certain that its value is maximized? Representatives from the CAR contributed to a multi-society[1] expert statement published in the CARJ and other journals in December 2020 that outlines the value contributed to healthcare by radiology, and explains how value may be measured, recognized, and augmented. The CAR’s Virtual Week on Parliament Hill

Virtual meeting with CAR Board Members and MP From November 2-6, the CAR hosted its first Virtual Week on the Hill. For the last several years the CAR has traditionally hosted the Day on the Hill to coincide with the International Day of Radiology (November 8). The purpose of the Day on the Hill is to advocate for the advancement of radiology at the national level and to raise awareness of the important role that radiologists play in the healthcare system.

CAR develops infographic on vital role of radiologists, asking members to partake in awareness-raising campaign

Radiologists play a pivotal role in patient care; however, there are still many people who don't know this, especially among the general public. In order to raise awareness, the CAR is launching the "#iamyourradiologist" campaign on November 8 – the International Day of Radiology.
