Welcome to Your CAR Member Portal & CPD Learning Platform

The CAR CPD platform, an exclusive CAR member benefit, provides access to online courses, webinar recordings, and other educational content designed to support your ongoing professional development.

This quick guide, with video instructions from CPD Chair Dr. Andrew Chung, will show you how to log in, search the education catalogue, and track your progress as you work through learning activities.

Log In and Start Learning

  1. Open your preferred web browser and go to car.ca.
  2. Select the login button in the top right corner and enter your CAR member credentials.
  3. Interactive e-learning courses can be found by clicking on the “Courses” button.
    • Browse the course catalogue or use filters such as collection, date, topic, category, or keyword to find relevant content.
  4. Webinar recordings, ASM and VTD presentations can be found by clicking on the CPD On-Demand button.
    • Filter by accreditation status, collection, topic, year, or keyword to quickly find the topic you need.
  5. After completing an activity, check your profile to review progress and CPD credits earned.
  6. Learn at your own pace and return to activities when your schedule allows.

Tip: Bookmark the member portal after logging in so you can return to CAR CPD quickly the next time you want to continue learning.

New Online Content and Upcoming Webinars

The CPD library is constantly growing with new educational content frequently added to help you reach your CPD goals.

CAR 2026 Presentations are now available on the member portal, including the plenary lectures and symposia sessions.

To quickly find this content, filter by collection  and select “ASM” to access all the recordings from this year’s conference.

Coming Soon: CHAR National Grand Rounds

The Canadian Heads of Academic Radiology (CHAR) and the CAR are partnering on a new initiative to deliver National Grand Rounds – a program that leverages national expertise, builds collaborative learning, enhances subspecialty training, and strengthens the visibility of Canadian academic radiology.

The National Grand Rounds series will feature monthly, Royal College accredited, one-hour virtual grand rounds, hosted by academic radiology departments from across Canada. The series will run from September 2026 to June 2027. Be on the lookout for more program information and registration details.
