The CAR will be recognized this spring for its excellence in several areas of growing strength for the organization. The American College of Radiology (ACR) announced its 2025 Chapter Recognition Awards, awarding the CAR the Award in Overall Excellence.

The ACR offers Chapter Recognition Awards for several categories: Government Relations, Meetings and Education, Membership, and Overall Excellence.
The Chapter Recognition Award is the second consecutive award the CAR has received, having been recognized in 2024 for Government Relations. This is the first time the CAR has won the award for Overall Excellence.
“Your dedication in key areas, such as government relations, educational programming, and membership engagement, truly stands out,” said Christopher Mutter, Chair of the ACR Chapter Committee. “The breadth and consistency of your efforts reflect a strong commitment to advancing your chapter and supporting your members.”

CAR Vice President Dr. J.P. King will be attending the ACR annual meeting over the first weekend in May to accept the award on behalf of the CAR. Dr Michael Patlas (University of Toronto, Chair) will be receiving the prestigious Fellow of the ACR award at the same meeting.
