Interventional Radiologist

The Department of Diagnostic Radiology at Queen’s University and its affiliated teaching hospitals seeks a full-time Academic Interventional Radiologist. The successful candidate will join a collaborative team providing high-volume, comprehensive interventional radiology services at Kingston Health Sciences Centre. The role includes clinical care across vascular interventions, interventional oncology, venous interventions, embolotherapy, and acute stroke treatment, as well as participation in undergraduate medical education, residency training, research, and other academic activities.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality interventional radiology services, including complex vascular interventions, interventional oncology, venous interventions, advanced embolotherapy, and acute stroke treatment. Interpret vascular ultrasound studies and CT and MR angiograms. Collaborate with interventional radiologists, vascular surgeons, oncologists, and other multidisciplinary teams. Participate in undergraduate medical education, residency and fellowship training, research, quality improvement, departmental service, and the delivery of safe, innovative, patient-centred care.

Qualifications

MD degree or equivalent and fellowship training in Interventional Radiology. Eligible for licensure by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. Certification, or eligibility for certification, in Diagnostic Radiology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada is preferred. Demonstrated expertise, training, and experience in Interventional Radiology are required, along with a commitment to high-quality patient care, teaching, research, innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and academic service.
