Permanent Full-Time Academic Position
The Department of Diagnostic Radiology within the School of Medicine, Faculty of Health Sciences at Queen’s University and its affiliated teaching hospitals are seeking a full-time Academic Radiologist with Fellowship training in Breast Imaging to join a team of four dedicated Breast Imaging Radiologists. This position is to fill a new position within the University.
- Full-time, permanent Academic Breast Imaging Radiologist position within the Department of Diagnostic Radiology at Queen’s University.
- Based at a growing, state-of-the-art Breast Imaging Centre serving Southeastern Ontario, with major regional investment and high clinical volume.
- Role combines clinical practice, academic work, and program development in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Opportunity to contribute to expansion of advanced breast imaging technologies and a developing academic program.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive breast imaging services, including screening, diagnostic assessment, MRI, and image-guided interventions.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and collaborate with surgery, oncology, pathology, and regional cancer programs.
- Contribute to Women’s Imaging (gynecologic and obstetrical ultrasound, fertility imaging support).
- Participate in departmental on-call schedule.
- Engage in academic activities: undergraduate and residency teaching, research, and innovation.
- Support development of a future Women’s Imaging Fellowship and train fellows.
Qualifications
- MD (or equivalent) and eligibility for licensure in Ontario.
- Fellowship training and expertise in Breast Imaging required.
- Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification (or eligibility) preferred.
- Demonstrated or potential academic productivity and research involvement.
- Strong clinical, collaborative, and interpersonal skills; commitment to patient-centered care.
