Did You Know?
The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada’s Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Program and framework are part of their continuing professional development program for specialist physicians and health care professionals. The MOC Program can help you stay up to date with your practice, from residency through to retirement. The refreshed MOC framework now includes an expanded list of applicable learning options to make credits more accessible and to capture the important learning you already do.
Important Changes
- My MOC has replaced MAINPORT as the credit-tracking platform.
- The total number of credits required per 5-year cycle is now 250 (reduced from 400).
- The annual minimum credit requirement is now 25 (reduced from 40).
- There is no minimum credit requirement for Sections 1 and 2.
- Section 3 requires at least one “Feedback Received” activity during each 5-year MOC cycle.
