About

The Canadian Association of Radiologists Journal (CAR Journal) is a peer-reviewed, Medline-indexed publication that presents a broad scientific review of radiology in Canada. Since its first publication in 1950, the journal has been dedicated to publishing articles pertaining to current, cutting-edge diagnostic and therapeutic radiology as well as guidance on emerging techniques and technologies.

Subscribers to the CAR Journal can access the latest articles here.The journal publishes original research, reviews, research letters and Letters to the Editor. It does not consider case reports. Studies should be relevant to radiologists’ clinical practice. 

This journal is published on behalf of the Canadian Association of Radiologists.

Mandate

To support the Canadian Association of Radiologists Journal in reaching its full potential as a scientific publication while providing  scholarly input, oversight, and contacts.

Goals and Objectives

  • Preserve and enhance the journal’s reputation as a trusted source of high-quality scientific and educational information.
  • Solicit or write manuscripts for consideration for publication, including original research and review articles, and editorials.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of efficient procedures for the peer review and approval processes and for the presentation of clear instructions to any author wishing to submit material to the journal.
  • Maintain the highest standards of peer review, in line with the current guidelines from relevant bodies (e.g. Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).
  • Provide strategic planning support and insight for the Journal and Editorial Office.
