Musculoskeletal Radiologist

The Department of Medical Imaging at The Ottawa Hospital (TOH) is seeking a fellowship trained Musculoskeletal radiologist for a full‐time position to join the Musculoskeletal Imaging Section. The candidate will serve the three campuses of The Ottawa Hospital, the core adult teaching hospital for the University of Ottawa, as well as affiliated community hospitals and ancillary programs.

Key Responsibilities

As a Section Member, the successful candidate will work collaboratively as part of a highly efficient team for providing dedicated musculoskeletal expertise supporting strong programs in ER/trauma, orthopedic surgery, oncology, rheumatology, physiatry and sports medicine. Broad diagnostic musculoskeletal skills in all modalities including radiography, ultrasound, CT and MRI are required. Proficiency in performing a wide range of image guided interventional procedures including biopsies, aspirations, arthrograms and spine injections is required. Experience with advanced interventional procedures including osteoplasty, RF ablation and cryoablation are also considered an additional asset. In addition, the candidate should be willing and able to perform general, non-MSK, radiology tasks. Skills and/or interest in scholarly activity and research are required.

Qualifications

They will be expected to be a supportive team player, with a strong commitment to patient care, quality improvement, research, and teaching. The successful candidate will hold certification in Diagnostic Radiology with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or international equivalent and have completed an MSK subspecialty clinical fellowship.
