The Department of Diagnostic Radiology at Queen’s Health Sciences and its affiliated teaching hospitals is seeking a permanent, full-time Academic Diagnostic Neuroradiologist. The successful candidate will provide specialized clinical services in adult and pediatric neuroradiology while contributing to undergraduate medical education, residency and fellowship training, and research. Areas of institutional growth include advanced brain tumour imaging, MR perfusion and spectroscopy, epilepsy, head and neck imaging, and functional MRI. The position requires effective collaboration within a multidisciplinary academic healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide CT and MRI interpretation, including acute stroke CT, advanced brain imaging, head and neck imaging, and diagnostic pediatric neuroradiology. Perform lumbar punctures and spinal procedures, carotid and transcranial Doppler studies, and neck ultrasound. Participate in the Neuroradiology on-call schedule and collaborate in multidisciplinary clinical rounds. Contribute to undergraduate medical education, residency training, research, and the supervision of Neuroradiology fellows. Develop scholarly or independent research activities and work collaboratively with specialists in Neurology, Neurosurgery, Neuropathology, Ophthalmology, Neurogenetics, Oncology, and related disciplines.

Qualifications

• MD degree or equivalent designation.
• Fellowship training, expertise, and experience in Neuroradiology.
• Eligible for medical licensure through the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
• Certification, or eligibility for certification, in Diagnostic Radiology through the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada is preferred.
• Demonstrated potential for innovative, scholarly, or independent research.
• Strong potential for outstanding teaching contributions.
• Ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary and collaborative academic healthcare environment.
• Expertise or interest in advanced brain tumour imaging, MR perfusion and spectroscopy, epilepsy imaging, head and neck imaging, or functional MRI would be an asset.
