Breast Radiologist

The Department of Medical Imaging at The Ottawa Hospital (TOH) is seeking a fellowship trained Breast radiologist for a full‐time position to join the Diagnostic Breast Section starting as soon as possible. The candidate will serve the three campuses of The Ottawa Hospital, the core adult teaching hospital for the University of Ottawa, as well as affiliated community hospitals and ancillary programs.

Key Responsibilities:

As part of the Breast section, he/she will be responsible to work collaboratively as part of a highly efficient team for providing dedicated breast imaging expertise, including interpreting breast ultrasound and breast MRI (1.5, 3T), digital breast tomosynthesis and full field digital mammography and contrast enhanced mammography. He/she will provide consultations for the full spectrum of breast imaging and will be able to perform all image guided interventional procedures in breast, including stereotactic/tomosynthesis, ultrasound and MRI guided biopsies, aspirations and drainages, as well as radioactive seed breast localizations. In addition, he/she should be willing and able to perform general, non-breast imaging radiology tasks, and non-neuro, non-interventional call. The candidate will also be required to workday shifts, evening shifts and on-call assignments including weekends.

Qualifications and Certifications:

The successful candidate will hold certification in Diagnostic Radiology with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or international equivalent.
