Queen’s Health Sciences and Kingston Health Sciences Centre are seeking a full-time Academic Interventional Radiologist. The successful candidate will join a high-volume academic practice performing the full spectrum of interventional radiology procedures, including complex vascular interventions, interventional oncology, embolotherapy, venous interventions, and acute stroke treatment. The position includes clinical service, teaching of medical students and residents, and participation in research activities within a collaborative academic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive interventional radiology services, including vascular interventions, interventional oncology procedures, embolization therapies, EVT stroke treatment, and diagnostic vascular imaging interpretation. Participate in multidisciplinary patient care, undergraduate and postgraduate medical education, resident supervision, and academic research initiatives. Collaborate with radiologists, vascular surgeons, oncologists, and other health professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
Qualifications and Certifications:
- MD degree (or equivalent)
- Fellowship training in Interventional Radiology
- Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
- Preference given to candidates holding or eligible for certification in Diagnostic Radiology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
- Demonstrated expertise in Interventional Radiology, commitment to patient care, teaching, research, and collaborative academic practice
