Location: BC Remote (open to Radiologists licensed for BC but residing in other Canadian provinces) Clinic Location: Suite 505 – 750 West Broadway, Vancouver BC Canada, V5Z 1H4

Hours: Contract (minimum 1 day/week)

Role: Remote flexibility with optional evening and weekend shifts

Compensation: Remote services provided by the Radiologist are paid at a 80/20% fee split, based on professional fee codes published by Doctors of B.C.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret medical imaging studies including X-rays and ultrasounds, creating comprehensive diagnostic reports for referring physicians
  • Provide timely verbal reports on urgent and priority cases to ensure patient safety and clinical decision-making
  • Respond to clinical inquiries from referring physicians and address patient questions related to imaging findings
  • Collaborate with imaging technologists to advise on image quality, difficult cases, and technical concerns to optimize diagnostic accuracy
  • Choose to work shifts remotely from your location or on-site at our Vancouver clinic based on your availability, with on-site workstations provided for in-clinic work with the understanding that workstations may be limited and scheduled accordingly
  • Manage your own schedule with a minimum commitment of one day per week and the ability to scale up as desired
  • Maintain rigorous quality standards and professional judgment regarding safe workload management, with the autonomy to accept or defer additional cases as appropriate
  • Actively participate in and support quality assurance programs, peer review, and accreditation processes to uphold the highest standards of care, in compliance with Canadian Association of Radiologists (CAR MAP) and Diagnostic Accreditation Program (DAP) requirements

Qualifications

  • Valid Certificate of Registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia with full licensure to practice independent medicine without restriction or condition
  • Current membership in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia
  • Medical liability insurance coverage through Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
  • Comfort using an EMR, PACS and radiology information systems (RIS), and workplace technology
  • Expertise in interpreting general radiography and ultrasound imaging modalities
  • Demonstrated commitment to maintaining quality diagnostic standards and safe workload management practices
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with referring physicians, technologists, and peer radiologists
