The third edition of Val d’Isère Vilgrain, the Essence of Imaging, brings an international faculty to the French Alps for a week of radiology teaching, entirely in English. Chaired by Prof. Valérie Vilgrain (Beaujon Hospital, Université Paris Cité), the 2027 programme covers abdominal, thoracic, cardiovascular, breast, head and neck, musculoskeletal, neuro and gynaecological imaging, as well as artificial intelligence.

Forty-four sessions combine lectures, case-based sessions and hands-on ultrasound demonstrations. There are no parallel sessions: everyone follows the same programme. The call for e-posters is open September 1, 2026 to February 15, 2027: a single file sent by email, with no abstract stage.
