The Department of Medical Imaging at The Ottawa Hospital (TOH) is seeking a fellowship trained Cardiothoracic radiologist for a full-time position starting July 3, 2023 to join the Cardiac and Thoracic Imaging Sections of a department of approximately 60 sub-specialty radiologists. Radiologists with fellowship training in Thoracic Radiology may also apply. The candidate will serve the three campuses of The Ottawa Hospital, the core adult teaching hospital for the University of Ottawa, as well as affiliated community hospitals and ancillary programs.
As part of the Cardiac and Thoracic Imaging Sections, the successful candidate will be responsible to work collaboratively within a highly efficient team providing dedicated Cardiothoracic expertise and interpreting in- and out-patient studies. The candidate will require broad skills in all relevant modalities, including radiography, CT , and MRI. The candidate should excel at various thoracic procedures including thoracic biopsies and small bore chest tube insertions. The successful candidate will provide consultations for the full spectrum of Cardiothoracic diseases. Skills and/or interest in scholarly activity and research are required.
They will be expected to be a supportive team player, with a strong commitment to patient care, quality improvement, research and teaching. The successful candidate will hold certification in Diagnostic Radiology with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or international equivalent.
