Il dit que le Dr van der Westhuizen \u00e9tait un m\u00e9decin talentueux qui nous manquera beaucoup. \u00ab Andrew \u00e9tait un excellent m\u00e9decin et radiologiste. En tant que radiologiste, l\u2019observation, l\u2019interpr\u00e9tation, la communication et les comp\u00e9tences perspicaces d\u2019Andrew \u00e9taient fantastiques et sa base de connaissances \u00e9tait superbe.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-18450 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/car.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/Pic_family_2-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-18448 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/car.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/Andrew_pic-226x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"226\" height=\"300\" \/>Alors que le Dr van der Westhuizen \u00e9tait comp\u00e9tent dans ses capacit\u00e9s techniques, le Dr Vedd dit que son coll\u00e8gue \u00e9tait une personne incroyable avec qui travailler. \u00ab Sa capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 \u00e9tablir des relations avec le personnel technique, le personnel infirmier et le personnel clinique a \u00e9t\u00e9 exemplaire.\u00a0Quiconque a eu l\u2019occasion de conna\u00eetre Andrew a \u00e9t\u00e9 s\u00e9duit par sa gentillesse, son attention et sa bienveillance.<\/p>\n<p>Le m\u00eame sentiment a \u00e9t\u00e9 repris dans la n\u00e9crologie du Dr van der Westhuizen.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Quiconque a connu Andrew sait qu\u2019il avait le c\u0153ur d\u2019un lion et qu\u2019il \u00e9tait un doux g\u00e9ant. Sa personnalit\u00e9 tout \u00e0 fait authentique l\u2019a propuls\u00e9 \u00e0 \u00e9tablir d\u2019innombrables liens uniques. Andrew a toujours eu du temps pour les autres et savait \u00e9couter. \u00a0Il se distinguait par sa patience et sa gentillesse. Il se souvenais des moindres d\u00e9tails de toutes les personnes qu\u2019il rencontrait. L\u2019impact qu\u2019il a eu sur les autres continuera de vivre. Merci pour l\u2019immense soutien que nous avons re\u00e7u de toutes les personnes touch\u00e9es par Andrew \u00e0 Victoria, Kamloops, Vancouver, Campbell River et partout dans le monde. Il est parti mais ne sera jamais oubli\u00e9. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Le Dr Bruce Forster est professeur au D\u00e9partement de radiologie de la Facult\u00e9 de m\u00e9decine de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de la Colombie-Britannique et a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 un coll\u00e8gue du Dr van der Westhuizen. Il dit que le Dr van der Westhuizen \u00e9tait un coll\u00e8gue ch\u00e9ri et un radiologiste exceptionnel. \u00ab Son travail en tant que r\u00e9sident et fellow de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de la Colombie-Britannique a \u00e9t\u00e9 marqu\u00e9 par son excellence en mati\u00e8re d\u2019assurance et d\u2019am\u00e9lioration de la qualit\u00e9, son comportement calme et attentionn\u00e9, sa patience et son engagement envers l\u2019\u00e9quipe d\u2019imagerie et surtout envers nos patients. Notre communaut\u00e9 a perdu un membre qui incarnait v\u00e9ritablement les soins centr\u00e9s sur le patient et l\u2019excellence clinique. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Le Dr van der Westhuizen est d\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9 apr\u00e8s un tragique accident de v\u00e9lo le 11 mai. Une randonn\u00e9e \u00e0 v\u00e9lo comm\u00e9morative aura lieu en son honneur le 6 ao\u00fbt \u00e0 Kamloops, en Colombie-Britannique, ainsi qu\u2019une c\u00e9l\u00e9bration de la vie le 13 ao\u00fbt \u00e0 Victoria, en Colombie-Britannique. Ceux qui ont connu le Dr van der Westhuizen sont encourag\u00e9s \u00e0 partager leurs souvenirs et anecdotes <a href=\"https:\/\/www.celebratingandrew.com\" target=\"_blank\"
