{"id":20780,"date":"2026-08-27T13:01:22","date_gmt":"2026-08-27T17:01:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/car.ca\/jobs\/interventional-radiologist\/"},"modified":"2026-08-27T13:02:00","modified_gmt":"2026-08-27T17:02:00","slug":"interventional-radiologist","status":"publish","type":"jobs","link":"https:\/\/car.ca\/fr\/jobs\/interventional-radiologist\/","title":{"rendered":"Interventional Radiologist"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Department of Diagnostic Imaging is currently seeking a full-time Interventional Radiologist to join our strong, supportive and collegial team of Radiologists working within our Carlo &amp; Angela Baldassarra Family Centre for Diagnostic Services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Oak Valley Health\u2019s IR Suite houses a state-of-the-art General Electric Interventional Radiology System \u2013 the first to be installed in a Canadian hospital. We have the latest and most advanced system, the Allia IGS 7, which integrates two modalities for image guidance \u2013 Fluoroscopy, Computerized Tomography (CT). Oak Valley Health is also the first hospital in Ontario to use a UV room disinfector, mounted at ceiling level, using smart sensors to disinfect the room after every use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The successful candidate will provide a range of interventional radiology services, including minimally invasive, image-guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as angiography, embolization, stenting, nephrostomy, biliary interventions and drainage procedures. The successful candidate will also provide diagnostic imaging interpretation and work collaboratively with referring physicians, technologists, nurses and support staff to deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centred care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Opportunities may be available to participate in teaching, departmental planning, quality assurance, research and innovation. The successful candidate may also be eligible for an academic appointment at the University of Toronto and, in the future, the York University School of Medicine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Qualifications and Certifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Diagnostic Radiology Certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (or equivalent), with fellowship training in Interventional Radiology, or equivalent training and experience<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>License to practice independently in Ontario from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Commitment to patient care, excellent interventional and technical skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Application Instructions:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All interested and qualified candidates are encouraged to submit a submission an expression of interest and Curriculum Vitae to Dr. Mitesh Mehta, Chief of Diagnostic Imaging, care of Trevor Whyte, Manager, Medical Administration at trwhyte@oakvalleyhealth.ca.
